DIY Cricut Project or Flower Sticker Serving Tray

Beautiful and elegant, makes a great gift and decor!
DIY Cricut Flower Serving Tray!

I needed a long tray for a deep shelf and wanted it to be white with cute flowers,I think I achieved that. Here's what I did so you can do the same or similar and I give you a few options to make it without a Cricut if you don't have one!

Difficulty: Medium, lots of weeding to complete this one, I will provide you with an eaiser sticker option!

Timeframe: 4 active hours over two to 3 days

  • 2 wood trays, unfinshed or already white if you can find them!

  • Sanding paper

  • White & Clear Spray Paint in a Matt finish

  • Wood glue & 4 .39 inch flat head wood screws (you should have a drill at home to make this easier)

  • Contact paper to line the inside

  • Cricut Machine & tools, Cricut Permanent Black Vinyl OR buy stickers!

DIY Cricut Project or Flower Sticker Serving Tray Steps:

  1. Lightly sand any rough edges, wipe the unfinished wood with a slightly damp paper towel to remove dust.

  2. Glue the trays together, where the trays meet insert two screws on each side to hold them together. Let dry overnight.

  3. Spray paint all sides with the white, it will likely take two coats, be sure to let it dry for an hour between the coats. Once you are happy with the finish you can apply the flowers.

  4. Cricut method: follow this link to Cricut Access for the design to cut the flower images, each is measured to fit these wood trays and you will need to cut two sets of the left and right images, and only one set of the front and back images. cut and weed them, then using standard transfer tape apply them around the outside. I left an area on both ends below the handle so I could add a label later as I am placing this on a deep shelf to store things in our RV.

  5. Alternate Sticker Method: purchase stickers that will fit the sides, here is a similar set of rub on transfers, you will need to cut them to the height of the tray (1.9 inches) as they are taller. You can also consider colored dried flower stickers such as these if you prefer color.

  6. After applying the flowers give it at least two coats of clear, this will help protect the flowers and make it easier to wipe off in the future. Let it dry overnight.

  7. Measure and cut your contact paper, if it ever peels up reapply, or use a little of the glue in the corners, or double sided craft tape to hold it!

I hope you get creative and make something beautiful today!
